Twilight update

I saw this on another friend's blog and decided to share it, given my last post.

So Summit has a trailer out for Twilight apparently. I'll let you watch it first, as to not bias you with my opinion, but I am curious as to what everyone thinks after seeing the teaser. I'll add my thoughts as a comment later.

Luke sent me that and was so proud that he could be the one to share it with me until he found out that I had already seen it on Stephenie's website! Haha.

I think I'll have to go to the movie as just another movie or else I'll be extremely disappointed.

Thanks for posting. I am totally not up to date with all the happenings in Hollywood! Before I give my opinion I just have to say I always try to see the positive side of things. So if this is a little negative, sorry. I think Kristen Stewart is going to be better than I thought as Bella. I'm still not thrilled with their choice of Edward. He may be a great actor, but I just do not find him extrememly attractive. I was totally crushing on the Edward in the book and he just hasn't been brought to life with the same care. The trailor is enough to spark some interest for those that may have not read the book. But I think those of us who have, and loved them, are looking for more. I'm still excited to see it. We may be up North for Christmas at that time. If so, I would love to get a group together and see it with you! What are your thoughts?

ok, so my opinion? Keep my standards low and just try to enjoy it.

When Bella asks, "how long have you been seventeen," and Rob (just can't call him Edward) answers, "a while." I think he sounds and looks like a dork...hillbilly was the first thought actually.

But then when it gets to the part where he is looking at her in the parking lot, and then saves her, I thought, "He'll never (EVER!) be the Edward I imagined, but he's doing his best, and it's pretty good considering the enormity of the challenge. It's like when an ice skater falls on a quadruple axle but gets a better score then then one who nails the double. Extra points for difficulty.

And I must comment on the teeth. This trailer didn't give very many shots, but at the end when he says, "you really shouldn't have said that," I think he pulls off the half smile.

Yes, I watched it several times.
